James Jack Cassidy

James Jack Cassidy

James found yoga about 10 years ago and what started as a physical practiced slowly bloomed into a lifestyle, (helping him through the ups and particularly the downs) and eventually a career.

He initially trained in ashtanga vinyasa in Goa then after gaining teaching experience in London returned to Rishikesh to train in traditional Hatha yoga under a Bhramin guru.

He continually evolves his practice and teaching with regular trips to India and trainings in London with international teachers. He has been a student of Shiva Rea, Jason Crandell, David Swenson, Richard Freeman, Max Strom and Anodea Judith to name a few. James believes in the ancient shastra of Patanjali: "sthira sukham asana" - Asana is perfect firmness of body, steadiness of intelligence and benevolence of spirit.

He teaches both Hatha and Vinyasa styles depending upon the student requirement and often uses a combination of the two. Yin practices are also offered.
